St. Mary Magdalen Church, Taunton

Architectural Stone Conservation -

The masonry repairs to this unique Somerset church included works to two large west front windows, the four light clerestory windows and the chancel parapet. The stone was predominantly Ham Hill limestone and the specification included judicious piecing-in where absolutely necessary, with the majority of works entailing poultice cleaning of soot deposits, micro-pinning, grouting and lime mortar repairs.
