As part of the extensive conservation of the tower of this parish church, particular stones were judiciously selected for replacement, due to their extreme decay and loss of function. The areas affected included the string course, coping stones, and exposed ashlar corner stones. The original Bere and Ham Stone was carefully matched, and surface finishes agreed with the architect to achieve new stones which sat well with the surrounding existing architectural elements.
